Event Advisory: Central Coast Space Day

Free and open to the public and the media, the event is intended for children and adults of all ages, who have an interest in space and rocketry. A workshop on aerospace-related classroom activities is especially designed for K-6 teachers.

Event Advisory: Central Coast Space Day

Who:    Sponsored by Raytheon, the event is hosted by the Cal Poly Engineering, Cal Poly CubeSat Program, the California Space Authority, the Central Coast Science Project, and the Center for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Education.  

 What:  This new event includes an Aerospace Expo as well as two exciting speakers, including a former astronaut and a representative from Vandenberg Air Force Base. The Aero Expo will highlight aerospace-related clubs, local aerospace groups, and Central Coast aerospace companies. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about local star parties, launch rockets and ride the Cal Poly Flight Simulator

“My Cal Poly education was a major factor in my career movement.

I made a fairly substantial contribution to Cal Poly for one good reason. I believe we need to give something back to the school that helps us. I hope my gift might set an example for others to give something back to the institution that helped them become successful.
