BreitenbachPublished by the prestigious Oxford University Press, A Mathematics Companion for Science and Engineering Students is designed to help undergraduate engineering students get past a frequent stumbling block: math.
The 500-page book serves as a reference for topics in precalculus mathematics, while opening the doors to mathematical discourse, writing, and thinking.The author, Dr. Jerome R. Breitenbach, has been a member of Cal Poly’s Electrical Engineering Department since 1981. His research interests include telecommunications, signal processing, and the foundations of mathematics.
