Mission

The mission of the Dean's Advisory Council (DAC) is to assist and advise CENG in the following roles:

  • Advocate: The DAC helps foster relationships with industry, scientific and professional communities, and government.
  • Guide: The DAC assists CENG in developing its strategic plan and launching new programs. It provides an outside perspective, helping guide development of best practices to enhance the national visibility of CENG.
  • Sounding Board: The DAC serves as a sounding board for the dean and college leadership.
  • Resource: The DAC takes an active role in fund raising by providing endorsement, personal support, and help in soliciting prospective donors.

Membership

Distinguished for their leadership and accomplishments, DAC members come from academics, industry, professional societies, national laboratories, government agencies, and the international community. They serve by invitation of the dean.

Organizational Structure

In addition to an executive committee, the DAC consists of six standing committees that address strategic planning, industry-university partnership, program review and assessment, outreach and external relations, alumni relations and a campaign for naming the college, and facilities and infrastructure.
