Admission Requirements to MS Engineering with Specializations in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering, for Domestic Applicants

The deadline for completing your application appears below. All parts of your application must have arrived at Cal Poly by the date shown. Note that you are strongly encouraged to submit your materials well before this nominal deadline. This is especially true for fall quarter applicants in order to avoid conflicts with summer vacations and where financial aid is involved.

Your completed application must include the following:

  1. A formal application made through CSU Mentor (on-line or using a downloaded application form)
  2. Official transcripts from ALL colleges previously attended (except Cal Poly), mailed to: Cal Poly, Admissions Office, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407
  3. Scores from the General Test of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), sent directly to Cal Poly using institution code 4038. Current or recently graduate Cal Poly students may contact the Graduate Coordinator to request that this requirement be waived.
  4. Three letters of recommendation from faculty members on institutional letterhead, addressed to: Graduate Coordinator, Biomedical and General Engineering Dept., Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407. Letters from professional supervisors or mentors may also be accepted with prior agreement. The program does not use a standard recommendation form.

I'm a manager of CubeSat, the program that builds and launches satellites. It was surreal the night our Polysats were launched into orbit.
